So, how do you install FX-Foundry in GIMP under Linux?

First, down load the file gimpfx-foundry and extract the file to /usr/share/gimp/2.0/scripts. I am running Linux Mint. Some distros may have the gimp files located differently. If you get a message "you don't have permission to extract the files to this folder, all is not lost.

Start a terminal and su to root. From there start file-roller with root privileges and the extract to the directory as above.

Next, start gimp and you will see in the top menu FX-Foundry.
