Over the past few weeks I have been building a number of websites for some of my customers. Not much in that statement. OpenShot Video Editor Ver 1.4

I have tried a number of open source video editors but, Open Shot is the easiest to use with a number of interesting features. For instance Open Shot 1.4 incorporates the use of Inkscape for text editing and Blender for some effects.

With Blender installed on your system, Open Shot now has the ability to use the animated text editor for creating animated video titles.

You can import an MP3 file into Open Shot. Then drag the MP3 file and drop it into a track. The razor tool allows you and cut out the section of the sound you want to include with the video you are editing before the video is rendered.

If Audacity is installed on your system, editing sound files becomes even more flexible.

Open Shot has a number of transitions effects, like fade in and out for the start and finish of the video you are editing.

With all these apps installed on your PC you now have a very powerful set of editing tools.

I have only covered some of the features in this article.

Visit the Open Shot website for more information.
